Help Shape Austin’s Energy Future – Join a Community Workshop Near You in April 2026
This April 2026, Austin Energy is hosting a series of Energy Reliability Workshops across Austin, and we invite you and members of your community to participate. These workshops will provide an overview of how Austin Energy is implementing the 2035 Plan, discuss locations of potential energy resource and generation options across Austin, and invite residents to share what matters most you and your community.
The Austin City Council unanimously approved Austin Energy’s Resource, Generation and Climate Protection Plan to 2035, which is a strategic pathway to meet Austin’s rising energy needs. This plan was drafted with strong community input and is guided by the core values of reliability, affordability, environmental sustainability, and energy equity. Austin Energy is evaluating options to strengthen local reliability in the face of current challenges while continuing progress toward Austin’s clean energy goals.
We invite you and your neighbors to come and share your perspective. There are three options to choose from, so pick the one most convenient for you.
