Alternatives for upgrading N.C. 132 (College Road) and Oleander Drive intersection
From the list of alternatives below, Alternative A was chosen as the Preferred Alternative following the June 2018 public meeting:
Alternative A - Quadrant Intersection (improve Parkway Drive and shift College Road/Oleander Drive left turns to signals at each end of Parkway Drive)
Alternative B - Continuous Flow Intersection (addition of upstream signalized left-turn crossover intersections for each approach)
Alternative C - Tight Diamond (diamond configuration interchange with footprint minimized to the extent possible)

From the list of Alternatives below, Alternative 2 (Continuous Flow Intersection) was chosen as the Preferred Alternative following the June 2018 public meeting:
Alternative 1 - Median Flyover (flyover from northbound College Road to westbound Carolina Beach Road intersection)
Alternative 2 - Continuous Flow Intersection (addition of upstream signalized left-turn crossover intersections on College Road approaches only and widening to Sanders Road)

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT
The NCDOT project team will review all feedback – regardless of how it is submitted (online, phone, email, or letter) – and explore options to incorporate comments and address concerns where and when feasible.
PUBLIC MEETING
NCDOT held a public meeting on June 28, 2018 to present information on all six College Road projects. Staff were available to discuss the alternatives and answer questions.

Comments may be submitted via phone, email or U.S. Mail to either of the individuals listed below or at any meeting. All comments received carry equal weight, regardless of submittal method. All comments will be reviewed and suggestions/recommendations incorporated into designs where feasible.
