Project Overview

The North Carolina Department of Transportation proposes a series of safety improvements to the existing pedestrian facilities at the intersection of Hodge Road and Princeton Town Street.

Improvements include

  • widening existing sidewalks on the east side of Hodge Road to 10-feet 
  • widening existing sidewalks on the north side of Princeton Town Street to 10-feet
  • shifting the existing Mingo Creek Trail crosswalk at Hodge Road to the north of the Princeton Town Street intersection,
  • addition of concrete islands  to make the crosswalk safer for bicyclists and pedestrians
