The N.C. Department of Transportation hosted a public meeting on June 6, 2025 regarding the proposed project to replace three (3) bridges along N.C. 197 South in Yancey County at: Toodies Creek Road (S.R. 1112), Riverview Road (S.R. 1184), and Cattail Creek Road (S.R. 1102).

The comment period for the three bridge replacements will close on Friday, June 27.
Additional roadway and bridge repair designs are in development and will be presented to the public later.
