Project Overview

The project proposes to replace the bridge on Mitchell Mill Road over Wake Crossroads Lake in Wake County. Mitchell Mill Road is a 2-lane roadway with 12-foot-lanes, and the bridge is 75-ft in length.

The purpose of the project is to replace an obsolete bridge. The North Carolina Department of Transportation Structure Mannagement Unit records indicate the bridge's aging structure is reaching the end of it lifespan and needs to be replaced.

RESOURCES FOR PROPERTY OWNERS

Although the N.C. Department of Transportation works to minimize the number of homes and businesses displaced by a road project, it is inevitable, in many cases, that a certain amount of private property is needed.
