BR-0061: Bridge replacement on N.C. 127 over Duck Creek
NCDOT is proposing to replace the bridge on N.C. 127 over Duck Creek in Alexander County.

Project Highlights
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to replace the bridge on N.C. 127 over Duck Creek in Alexander County. The replacement structure will be a 2-span, cored slab bridge on existing location. The proposed bridge will be 65 feet long and 33.5 feet wide. The new approach roadway will have 11-foot travel lanes and 2-foot paved shoulders on each side.
The proposed bridge will include:
- Two 11-foot travel lanes
- 5-foot 9-inch paved outside shoulders
During construction there will be an off-site detour route. The detour route uses N.C. 127, U.S. 64, Caldwell Pond Road,and Antioch Church Road.
