Project Overview
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to construct a bridge on New Hope Church Road (S.R. 2034) over the CSX S-line railroad. This bridge will replace the existing at-grade crossing.
Project History
This project was studied under the Southeast High-Speed Rail (SEHSR) project. The initial environmental analysis is covered under the Federal Railroad Administration’s 2015 Final Environmental Impact Statement and 2017 Record of Decision. The NCDOT Rail Division is analyzing the changes thereof to the project design and any potential environmental impacts. A public meeting was held for this project in March 2017.
